The STEPN cryptocurrency M2E project team said it will integrate Apple Pay and allow users to buy NFT sneakers through this payment service.
STEPN is the first blockchain gaming app to integrate with Apple Pay. Representatives of the project explained that the integration will allow users to buy NFT sneakers through the payment service:
“Users will not need a cryptocurrency wallet to purchase NFT sneakers from STEPN. They can simply use Apple Pay for a quick, private and secure purchase.”
Yawn Rong, co-founder of STEPN partner Find Satoshi Lab, believes the integration opens up new audiences, making Web3 more accessible to the masses.
“We believe this is an important step towards engaging the next 100 million users in Web3 technology,” the businessman said.
At its peak in May 2022, STEPN had over 705,000 active users, according to Dune Analytics. A year later, the number of monthly users is just under 30,000.
Earlier in May, Apple allowed the developer of the popular NFT game Axie Infinity Sky Mavis to list it on the App Store for Latin America and Southeast Asia.
