The telegram channel Baza, close to law enforcement agencies, reported that Rosseti employees discovered a major theft of electricity. The attackers are called several craftsmen who connected the mining farm directly to the substation.
Moscow power engineers call the substation on Ryazansky Prospekt a victim of underground miners. This was in the fall of last year. Nobody found the tie-in to the network then. Miners stole electricity until February, and then curtailed their activities. The fact of connection of energy was discovered later. As it turned out, the miners illegally consumed 6.6 million kWh, which equals a loss of 33.1 million rubles.
After discovering unplanned expenses, representatives of Rosseti contacted the police. Now law enforcement agencies are looking for resourceful miners, but so far without success.
In early April, police in the Irkutsk region shut down an underground “mining hotel” that housed more than 200 devices.
