Canaan has unveiled the Avalon Made A1366I version of its immersed-cooled cryptocurrency miner. This device is claimed to achieve a hash rate of 165 TH/s with an energy efficiency of 30 J/TH.
The company touted the benefits of using immersion cooling, such as safer and more efficient overclocking, no noise, and longer life due to dust protection.
As for the price, Canaan hasn’t revealed it yet.
In October 2022, Canaan introduced the first models of its 13 series. She boasted that the A1366 model has a hashrate of 130 TH/s and an efficiency of 25 J/TH.
In November 2019, the company became the first manufacturer of mining products to list shares on the stock exchange. They held an IPO on Nasdaq, during which they raised $90 million through the placement of 10 million depositary receipts at a price of $9.
In July 2021, the company’s share price peaked at $34.5, and in June 2020 it fell below $2. It should be noted that the rival company MicroBT introduced the WhatsMiner M53S++ with a hash rate of 320 TH/s and an energy efficiency of 22 J/TH.
