According to Konstantin Klimenko, Product Director of the Sberbank Blockchain Laboratory, the financial institution is preparing to launch a DeFi platform in May this year. In March, the stage of its open testing will begin.

From March 1, we are moving into the next phase, it will no longer be beta testing, but open testing. At the end of April, the platform will be fully open, and then it will be possible to carry out some commercial operations on it,” Klymenko said.
The DeFi platform will be compatible with Ethereum and will support ETH wallets such as MetaMask. Klimenko expressed the hope that users of crypto assets will transfer their coins from other platforms to the DeFi platform from Sberbank.
Klymenko noted that in the future DeFi will replace the traditional banking services market.
