Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) revealed his recipe for time management, advising not to trade time for anything other than knowledge.
A key skill for CZ is being able to say no. His credo is that what you don’t do is more important than what you do.
He prefers to start any meetings with a warning about the limit of 15 minutes. Zhao agrees to them only if there is a subject for conversation.
CZ does not participate in any chats – either personal or work. He has a limited social network, which has several “super connectors” that can connect him with the people he needs.
Zhao doesn’t like shopping. He prefers shopping online in batches of ten wardrobe items in the first five positions, which the algorithm offers him.
At home, in the office and in the suitcase, CZ is a mess. He does not waste time organizing space.
The CEO of Binance does not cook food (no talent), he chooses one of the three positions he sees on the menu – what will be on the table faster. French dinner is not for him.
CZ doesn’t watch sports. The exception was the World Cup finals, as Binance sponsored the Argentina national team.
I used to watch a lot of films, now I find them “boring”, perhaps due to the fact that I have “aged”.
In social networks – on Instagram, he follows osteopathic and chiropractic specialists for exercises and devotes a lot of time to Twitter. TikTok and analogues are not for him.
Zhao believes that a lot of news lends itself to being packaged into a digest, which can be devoted to a maximum of 30 seconds. He devotes no more than 10 seconds to a rare reading of news articles.
CZ listens to books at 2.5x under almost any circumstance when not at work. Especially appreciates flights, when he can absorb 2-3 books per flight. Zhao spent over 600 hours on board last year.
The choice of books is the recommendations of friends and algorithms. Often do not read to the end, and loved ones – listens again and buys electronic versions.
Recall that Zhao estimated at 75% the share of artificial intelligence in response to Binance customer support, work in areas such as risk management, transaction monitoring, fraud detection and market manipulation.
