The crypto mining industry has experienced significant challenges in the past year, driven by the unfavorable macroeconomic environment and turmoil in the digital asset segment. However, the situation began to gradually stabilize, and new promising assets appear that operate on the PoW algorithm. Representatives of WEPC have released a list of several video cards that will be an excellent choice for mining in 2023.
In first place was the RTX 2070 Super. This video chip is not far behind in terms of performance from the RTX 2080 TI, but it costs significantly less. At the same time, under load, the video card consumes no more than 215 W, which will be a great help for any miner.
Next comes the GTX 1660 TI, which experts called a kind of balance between price and performance. The performance of this chip in mining conditions remains stable, while the power consumption does not exceed 120 watts.
The honorable third place is taken by the GTX 1070 video card. This model supports the Turing architecture, which has proven itself well in crypto mining. Its characteristics are significantly more modest in comparison with the same RTX 2070 Super. However, it is much cheaper and still delivers excellent performance for the price.
Earlier, experts shared their opinion on the prospects of mining with the Crypto.ru editors. StormGain exchange expert Dmitry Noskov noted that at the moment a significant increase in the cost of electricity made crypto mining almost unprofitable. Although the energy crisis has not completely disappeared, the mining industry looks promising this year and its profitability can increase significantly in the context of a bullish trend in the crypto market.
