Ben Armstrong, also known as Bitboy, has taken the lead again. This time, he wants to donate $100,000 to send FTX users who have lost their assets to the Bahamas to protest.
He hopes this will help attract the attention of the Bahamian police and secure the arrest of FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Freed.
Soon Armstrong will describe the details of this initiative. He added that “things are being done fairly quickly and a dedicated group will be set up for FTX users to get more information.”
His idea caused a mixed reaction in the crypto community. Someone supported his efforts, someone accused Bitboy of attracting attention in any ridiculous way.
Why would the Bahamian government be interested in arresting Sam? Don’t you think that it “does not see the beam in its own eye”?
If Sam is charged, then they themselves may fall under it … what can help is an independent investigation with hard facts,” wrote the skeptic under the nickname Hez.
Armstrong said that he only intends to help people who have lost all their money due to FTX and cannot afford to travel to the Bahamas by plane or by boat.
