The IT company Meta, which owns the social networks Facebook and Instagram, has continued to expand its options for working with NFT. The publication of unique tokens was opened to users from the United States in early May, becoming available to residents of one hundred countries in August this year.
Now the company is ready for the next step – the implementation of a package of tools that allow you to create unique tokens, buy and sell NFTs within Instagram.
Meta said it is already testing new features with a select group of digital art creators releasing their collections on the Polygon blockchain. This network will be the first to be available for new Instagram NFT transactions. Tokens can be bought and sold in mobile applications on Android and IOS.
While the new options are being tested, Phantom Wallet account linking has become available to Instagram and Facebook users. This means support for publishing NFTs from the Solana blockchain, the most popular ecosystem for unique tokens.
At the moment, social networks work with Coinbase Wallet, Dapper Wallet, Rainbow, MetaMask and Trust Wallet wallets. User accounts now display NFTs from the Ethereum and Flow blockchains, as well as the Polygon second layer network.
