The price of the Arweave AR token rose by 60% after it became known that Meta plans to integrate the project’s services into Instagram. In particular, Arweave services, or simply NFTs, the functionality of which was recently added to the popular social network, will be used to store digital collectibles.
Instagram will launch an in-app marketplace for selling NFTs, with initial testing currently underway on the Polygon blockchain. According to Stefan Casrielin charge of Web3 at Meta, all of these innovations are primarily aimed at attracting creators and making money for them.
The news about the integration of Arweave decentralized storages increased the quotes of all cryptocurrencies belonging to this sector. Of the major infrastructure and storage projects other than AR, Filecoin (FIL) has seen a notable rise of 15% in the last 24 hours.
