Worldpay payment platform, which is a subsidiary of the publicly traded FIS Group, will soon enable USD Coin (USDC) settlements for customers on the Polygon blockchain.
Head crypto division Worldpay Nabil Manji stated:
“We are excited to join the Polygon network as a validator and demonstrate the potential of the Polygon PoS network for financial services, starting with our USDC settlement offering”.
Worldpay settlements in USDC stablecoin for clients will be handled by BCW Group, which will manage the validator node to process and validate transactions. Head of DeFi division at Polygon Hamza Khan I am confident that by providing settlements in USDC, Worldpay expands the possibilities of Web3-payments for the customer market around the world.
