The main enthusiast of the Dogecoin meme coin again hinted that the coin will be accepted as a means of payment on the Twitter platform
The great influencer Elon Musk, whose comments traditionally shake the cryptocurrency market, once again made it clear to the crypto community that he plans to add support for the meme coin Dogecoin as a means of payment on the social platform Twitter, which he finally became the owner of last week after many months of intense negotiations.
Everyone is well aware that the well-known and often odious American businessman is a longtime fan of Dogecoin, he himself does not hide it. Musk has also made it clear on several occasions that he will strive to integrate the payment system into Twitter, while not excluding support for cryptocurrency. Recall also that at the same time, the platform is already in-house developing its own crypto wallet.
After Musk became the full owner of Twitter, he continues to demonstrate a flurry of activity on the platform, bringing new orders here. So, one of his first steps was the dismissal of top managers of the social network. On his Twitter account, Musk changed his status to Twitter Complaint Hotline Operator.
This morning, the @StonksReddit account asked Musk if he is currently working on his own or working with developers to implement a Dogecoin payment solution on the social platform. In response, the businessman posted an emoji depicting two big eyes. This can be regarded as a hint that he is really considering this issue now.

Meanwhile, the crypto community is already in full swing discussing Musk’s laconic tweet. As one investor commented:
“Wow. Could this be the first official @elonmusk tweet about $DOGE and Twitter integration? If he does that, it will be the bomb.”
Another crypto enthusiast @CroissantEth did a whole lot of research gathering various comments and possible intentions of Musk regarding the platform. Apparently, the businessman was considering creating a blockchain-based social media system that supports both payments and sending text messages as an option.
In particular, he mentioned this in a conversation with the head of the FTX crypto exchange, Bankman-Freed, earlier this year. At the same time, Musk also mentioned Dogecoin. Then he suggested that a fee of approximately 0.1 Doge could be charged for one comment or its repost.

In addition, Musk is hatching an idea for a Super App called X (he owns x.com) that would support just about everything from social platforms and micropayments to games and food delivery. There is now a similar WeChat app in China.
In any case, the crypto community is confident that Musk’s hints and flirtation with the Dogecoin theme will surely continue.

Meanwhile, in the current bear market, Dogecoin continues to show amazing gains. This year, DOGE became one of the most successful key altcoins and proved to be much more profitable than the world’s main cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC). In the last seven days alone, the coin has grown in price by 110%.
However, at the time of writing, it is trading down 5.9% intraday around $0.138, according to CoinMarketCap.
