The US division of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange has offered employees to move to a new headquarters in Miami by mid-November. It is reported by The Block.
According to sources of the publication, the company seeks to unite staff in one city to improve communication.
At the end of September, FTX US President Brett Harrison announced his resignation and transition to a consultant position with the company. FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried announced the move of the American branch office from Chicago to Miami. Mayor Francis Suarez welcomed the exchange’s decision.
In 2021, the trading platform acquired the rights to the name of the arena of the Miami Heat NBA club, which was renamed the FTX Arena until 2040.
Recall that in October 2022, Bankman-Fried spoke about the possible transfer of the headquarters of the exchange from the Bahamas to the United States.
