Currently, bribes are increasingly paid in cryptocurrencies, which makes it much more difficult to detect unauthorized transactions. This was told by the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Tan Sri Azam Baki. According to the expert, technology is actively developing, because criminals are using more and more sophisticated strategies to launder money and transfer bribes. Preventive measures must keep pace with the times and modern technologies, the commissioner stressed.
Tan Sri Azam Baki emphasized the need to improve the skills of MACC employees. The agency under his control must keep up with high-tech attackers in order to continue to fight them effectively. Separately, the specialist emphasized that the regulator must consider any issues that can affect society and harm it.
As for the implementation of the anti-corruption program in educational institutions, according to Azam, it may become outdated within five years.
This concept needs to be constantly modernized in order to form in society an aversion to corruption schemes.
