It became known about the launch of a new blockchain game based on the Tezos network. The TezTris project is a decentralized version of the legendary Tetris, which allows gamers not only to play, but also to earn. The developers have implemented a special staking mechanism into their product. The beta version became available on Ghostnet on September 30, 2022.
Thanks to the applied algorithm, users can play Teztris 1 on 1 by betting XTZ tokens and sharing the game ID with a friend who stakes the same amount. Then a special mechanism determines the winner of the round and he receives all the virtual funds locked in the smart contract.
In addition, the best player in a single battle is rewarded with a unique digital item in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT) with the details of the past game. The system, developed by the founders of the startup, solves the important problem of trusting intermediaries in every betting scenario. Thus, a unique mechanism is formed in which the user does not need to worry about honesty and fairness.
The TezTris smart contract acts as an intermediary, collecting staked tokens and distributing them (the code acts as a law). Staking can be done in a variety of virtual currencies, including Tezos-based stablecoins and native tokens.
The game was developed by Tezos India Fellow 2nd Cohort Udit Kapoor and his colleague Tarun Sharma. Both programmers assured that their product is a new round in the world of Tetris and is designed to completely change the approach to the game among fans of this genre.
Earlier, the editors of Crypto.ru reported that the USDT stablecoin was launched on the basis of the Tezos blockchain. This was told by representatives of Tether Operations Limited. Thus, the network has already become the 12th in a row where this virtual asset was implemented.
