In addition, all residents of the 100 countries where digital collectibles have been integrated into Instagram can now access this feature.
In May 2022, Meta launched a pilot project to integrate NFT into Instagram. Selected users were allowed to set non-fungible tokens as their profile photo.
The social network supports assets on the Ethereum, Polygon and Flow blockchains. Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet and Dapper Wallet wallets are available for connection. In the initial announcement, the corporation promised to integrate the Phantom, but has not yet done so.
In August, the initiative was expanded to an additional 100 countries.
Recall that in the same month, Meta connected Facebook to the pilot project.
