The Simpsons writing team has predicted everything from Disney’s purchase of Fox to the presidency of Donald Trump to accusations of faulty voting machines during the presidential election. In 1993, the Simpsons writing team predicted that a pandemic would sweep the world. So let’s focus on what they predicted about cryptocurrencies over the course of the show.
The Simpsons Predict Cryptocurrency Growth
First, the Simpsons predicted the rise of cryptocurrency. Although it seems rather strange, check it out. It will destroy your brain.
In the 17th episode of the 8th season, which first aired March 2, 1997 (!!!), a place called Crypto Barn first appeared. It was covered with “code” and “secret code” signs.
This episode aired more than 10 years before the advent of cryptocurrencies. So who on the Simpsons writing team is the full-time psychic?
Bart’s predictions on the board
It is also known that the Simpsons team accurately predicted several socio-political events that were made by Bart’s notes on the chalkboard. Some of Bart’s predictions written on the blackboard eventually came true. There are entire threads on Reddit dedicated to this.
However, the famous photo where Bart writes on the board that the price of XRP is $589 is just a fake.
There were other episodes that haunt XRP fans. In one scene, Homer’s manager was presented with a card that looks exactly like today’s credit or Visa cards. It was presented in a fancy box, which enthusiasts say is a prediction that digital assets like XRP will have their own credit card.
Could all these references to cryptocurrency be just wishful thinking?
In Episode 13 of Season 31, Lisa gets a lesson from IQ Professor John Nerdelbaum Frink Jr. about cryptocurrencies. He shows Lisa a video in which Jim Parsons (who plays Sheldon Cooper in “The Big Bang Theory” ) explains what cryptocurrencies are.
As the episodes progress, the book sings a song with the words: “I’m closer to the hiding place of the universe, not in your wallet, but in your computer.”
Where does this psychic ability come from? The thing is, they don’t come up with anything. They just monitor everything that is sore. And in the scenarios themselves offer options for the development of events.
