At the upcoming Paris Fashion Week, luxury fashion house Balmain will present its NFT membership collection along with a new clothing show. What makes these NFT creations special is that the basis for their creation is XRP Ledgerselected by Balmain’s developer and partner, MINTNFT.
The membership program, whose full name is “The Balmain Thread”, was created by MINTNFT on the XRP Ledger for a reason. According to the text press release , it was important that the platform for creating NFTs be carbon-neutral and environmentally friendly, for which the capabilities of XRPL were the best fit. This was certainly important for Balmain as well, given the latest trends in the fashion world that focus on sustainability, environmental, social and corporate responsibility.
A total of 10,000 Balmain NFT memberships will be available. Their owners will be able to access real and virtual events from the fashion house, awards, and achieve a greater immersion in the life of Balmain.
The fashion world loves Web3 technology
The news of Balmain Web3’s breakthrough via NFT on XRPL is far from the only event bringing together new digital technologies and the fashion world in recent times.
Over the past few months, a host of other luxury brands, whether Gucci or Tag Heuer have announced that they are starting to accept cryptocurrencies as a payment method for their products.
Fashion designer John Richmond has co-launched his collection inspired by the super-touted Shiba Inu cryptocurrency at Milan Fashion Week with a collection dedicated to virtual assets.
