The indicators of the average cost of virtual lands of the leading projects of the Metaverse, which fell by 85%, showed investors that the crypto winter has affected all topics and areas of development of digital assets. WeMeto statistics have posted graphs of changes in the prices of sites of the 4 largest startups by capitalization.
The Metaverses managed to maintain high virtual land prices until February 2022, three months ahead of the crisis.
Since February, the average price per lot across the six projects submitted by WeMeto has dropped from $17,000 to $2,500 this month. The previously mentioned overtaking of the crisis is now “offset” by the current delay, virtual real estate prices are not recovering, despite the rebound of the cryptocurrency market.
Analysts attribute this dynamics directly to the growth of the FRS rate and most of the world’s central banks, which deprived the market of risky assets of liquidity inflow. This is evidenced by the histogram of the volume of trades in sites, which decreased by 10 times by August.
Crypto winter has a negative impact on the cost of service tokens and shares of companies that have managed to go public and place securities. Sales in the cryptocurrency market “dropped” digital currencies by 80%, stocks fell by a more modest percentage. They are collected in the oriented fund Metaverse ETF, whose shares have lost 45% since the beginning of the year.
