UK parliamentarians will conduct a large-scale study of the cryptocurrency industry and involve all interested parties in it. The goal is to prepare a report for the Government of the Kingdom.
APPG – All-Parliamentary Group on Cryptography and Digital Assets – launches a study of the cryptocurrency sector in order to prepare recommendations to the UK government.
The researchers focus on policy issues regarding cryptocurrency and digital assets in the kingdom. Parliamentary experts hope to hear the opinions of market operators, industry experts, members of the government on the regulation of direction, the prevention of economic crimes, the issuance of central bank digital currency and consumer protection.
The group is accepting written submissions until September 5th. Several meetings will be held in the coming months to address these issues. APPG will also share its views with the Parliamentary Treasury Committee, a group that is also conducting its own exploration of the space.
