The Cabinet of Ministers of Abkhazia approved new tariffs for electricity, highlighting the miners in a separate category. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Christina Ozgan.
According to the decision of the authorities, consumers mining cryptocurrencies will pay 3.60 rubles per kWh.
The regulation will come into force on July 1, 2022.
Separate tariffs for miners will be applied if Abkhazia lifts the ban on this activity, Ozgan specified.
Recall that in 2020 Abkhazia introduced restrictions on the production of cryptocurrencies, which were repeatedly extended. On April 1, the Cabinet of Ministers extended the ban on mining and the import of goods for this activity until the end of 2022.
