Spanish retail chain Zara is launching a new line of clothing and accessories, Lime Glam, that can be worn on avatars and in the Zepeto multiverse.
Various items of clothing and accessories have become more and more popular in the metaverse lately, Zara states. And so the fashion house is ready to give customers the opportunity not only to buy and wear a physical thing, but also to boast of it in the virtual world. After the buyer has purchased an accessory or piece of clothing, he gets access to the digital version. On the Zara website, you can evaluate how a blouse or trousers will look on an avatar in the metaverse.
The collection is designed to reflect the latest trends in high fashion. These are short green dresses with ruffles, voluminous denim jackets, woven shoulder bags and platform sandals. The number of NFTs, Zara warns, will be limited.
The trend towards increasing popularity of digital versions of clothing and accessories is observed on the Decentraland, Somnium Space and Ziliqa platforms.
Recently, major computer game developer Epic Games and children’s building kit manufacturer Lego announced a collaboration to create a metaverse specifically for children.
