An unknown hacker who hacked the Ronin sidechain transferred about 2,000 ether ($6.9 million) to Tornado Cash, a mixer protocol that hides the connection between the source and recipient of the cryptocurrency. At the same time, 600 ethers were transferred within 20 minutes.
In March, a hacker hacked into the Ronin blockchain bridge and stole 173,600 ether worth more than $625 million. The problem became known on March 29, when one of the users was unable to withdraw his assets.
According to representatives of Ronin, the attacker carried out a hack on March 23rd. This theft is the largest in the history of decentralized finance.
The popular NFT game Axie Infinity runs on the Ronin blockchain. Its participants earn cryptocurrency by selling and breeding fantastic creatures, as well as conducting battles with their participation.
