Cloud computing platform Amazon Web Services (AWS) has suspended the registration of new users from Russia and Belarus. It is reported by NYT.
“Given current events, uncertainty, and lack of credit in Russia, we are not accepting new Russian AWS customers,” platform spokesman Drew Herdener said.
According to the publication, the changes came into force on March 5-6, but Amazon announced this only now.
AWS does not have offices or data centers in Russia.
Earlier, the British processing service Wirex blocked access to its products to citizens of the Russian Federation.
Recall that restrictions for users from Russia were introduced by the cryptocurrency exchanges Kuna, WhiteBIT and CEX.io, as well as the largest trading platforms in South Korea – Bithumb, Upbit, Coinone and Korbit.
Binance announced that it will stop supporting transactions with Visa and Mastercard cards issued in the Russian Federation from March 10th.
