Payment service provider BitPay has announced that through a new partnership with Australian energy company 1st Energy, the organization will be able to accept cryptocurrencies, including Shiba Inu.

1st Energy has become the first energy retailer in Australia to accept cryptocurrency through a partnership with BitPay. It will be easier than ever for customers to pay their utility bills.

In addition to Shiba Inu, BitPay supports major cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Wrapped Bitcoin, and five USD-pegged stablecoins (BUSD, DAI, GUSD, USDP and USDC).

Founded in 2014, 1st Energy is Australia’s first energy retailer to accept cryptocurrency through a partnership with BitPay. This means that electricity retailer customers can pay their utility bills using any BitPay-supported cryptocurrency.

BitPay is the world’s largest provider of payment services in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, launched in 2011. In December 2021, BitPay announced the integration of Shiba Inu into its wallet app, allowing you to store, buy, exchange, and spend SHIB.
