Brian Trunzo, Head of Metaverse Development at Polygon Studios, sees huge opportunities for NFTs and the Metaverse, especially in the realm of fashion.
Polygon Studios is a subsidiary of the Polygon project, formerly known as MATIC, specializing in games and NFTs. Brian Trunzo told how he sees the future of non-fungible tokens. According to him, the development of metaverses is now a priority for the company, and NFTs will become an integral part of them.
“If we are moving towards the metaverses that were in the Avalanche or Ready Player One novels, this means that NFTs will be their mandatory attribute. I think that everything that can become NFTs will become them,” Trunzo said.
He added that one of the most popular segments of the metaverse will be clothing. The fashion world, says Trunzo, is a $2 trillion economy, and many believe that with the Metaverse, that figure will grow exponentially. According to the developer, the fashion industry is a huge opportunity for companies working on NFTs and virtual universes.
Recall that at the end of last year, clothing and footwear manufacturer Nike announced the acquisition of RTFKT Studios, a developer of digital shoes for the metaverses.
