On the official cryptocurrency Twitter account, the Shiba Inu team announced a “forward-thinking” partnership with fashion and accessories brand John Richmond.
As part of the collaboration, a fashion collection will be launched in the form of 10,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The physical versions of the tokens will be presented at Milan Fashion Week.
The fashion house was founded in the 1980s by British fashion designer John Richmond, who has worked with superstars such as Madonna, Kate Moss, David Bowie and Britney Spears.
In 2017, the Italian Ammaturo family acquired an 83% stake in the brand.
The fashion world continues to be drawn into the world of technology brought by cryptocurrencies. In January, the famous Italian luxury fashion house Gucci released the NFT collection in partnership with the Superplastic brand. In February, lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret filed for several metaverse-related patents.
