Renowned digital artist John Taylor Dismuks has announced a new partnership with Metaverse platform Terra Virtua. With an established NFT market and user base, Terra Virtua will help Dismux bring his iconic 1982 airbrush work Death Merchant to the metaverse in the form of AR and VR tokens.
AR/VR collectibles are a whole new frontier for artists, especially when augmented reality gives people the ability to live and breathe a work of art. Sharing my art in this way is what I have wanted to do all my life.
Platforms like Terra Virtua provide an amazing opportunity for artists to participate in this new community, and we are thrilled to be a part of it,” said John Taylor Dismuks.
Despite being unfamiliar to the younger generation, Dismuks’ work has become part of cultural and musical history. For example, his work has graced albums and merchandise from companies such as Steppenwolf, The Grateful Dead, Megadeath and more. Dismook’s artwork has been featured in Mad Max, Transformations, Part of the Jurassic, The Terminator, and Star Trek.
On February 2, the first exclusive release of NFT from the fire element series (there are four in total: earth, wind, fire and water) will begin, 601 tokens will go on sale. According to the team, the Death Merchant collection will consist of six levels of rarity.
