If the ban on operations with cryptocurrencies is implemented in the form in which the Central Bank wants, then business will begin to leave Russia en masse. This point of view is shared by Yuri Pripachkin, who heads RAKIB (Russian Association of the Cryptoindustry and Blockchain).
Last week, he reacted to the report of the Central Bank, in which he not only confirmed his tough position in relation to the cryptosphere, but also advocated a complete ban on mining.
According to Pripachkin, the regulator will technically not be able to strike at the mining of cryptocurrencies, since it does not have the necessary tools for this.
The head of RAKIB confirmed his position this week as well. He believes that the most optimal solution in this situation is offered by the Ministry of Finance. This department plans not to prohibit, but to regulate the industry.
There are also people in the State Duma who are interested in legalizing digital currencies, Pripachkin emphasized. If we delay or even begin to harass companies and citizens interested in innovative tools, we risk being left without investment.
The expert also added:
The Central Bank says that in Russia we prohibit it, but we allow it abroad, go work there. What kind of government approach is this?
