Japan’s Ogaki Kyoritsu Bank has recently been added to the “Money Tap” smartphone app, from the Money Tap company of the same name. Now the PayB bill payment service will be launched for bank customers.
A year ago, Ripple Labs completed its investment in Money Tap, a subsidiary of SBI Holdings, becoming the largest outside shareholder.
Money Tap is “creating a next-generation financial infrastructure for individuals, financial institutions and businesses” based on RippleNet. This allows banks to conduct transactions instantly, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
