Representatives of the Opera company confirmed the information that the beta testing phase of an innovative version of the browser that supports cryptocurrencies has started. The firm said the product will revolutionize Web 3.0 technology. It is already available for users of Windows, MacOS and Android operating systems. The release date of the final version is still unknown.
The Scandinavian company emphasized that the new browser will offer its users unique features. From now on, it will be easier and more convenient for them to manage decentralized applications, be participants in blockchain games, be present in the virtual worlds of the metaverse and be able to pay with cryptocurrencies.
Representatives of the company noted that the new product will retain all the best features that are already built into the current version of the software. The browser will offer a VPN login for users, as well as a built-in ad and malware blocker. However, the new software will be even more secure, and will also receive integration with decentralized exchanges, platforms, the Telegram messenger and the social network Twitter.
Opera Vice President Jørgen Arnesen said his company’s goal is to help advance Web 3.0 and crypto technologies and bring them to the masses. The company’s new product has become even easier to use, while it provides the highest level of privacy and security for customers. The browser will aim to achieve full decentralization for all participants. The beta version allows you to store and exchange Ethereum-based ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens, and will support ERC-1155 and other popular blockchains in the future.
Earlier, the Crypto.ru editors reported that Opera representatives signed an agreement with the Polygon blockchain project. The new collaboration has allowed decentralized applications to be integrated into the browser itself. Users gained access to several thousand new services.
