Gozali Gozalu, 22, from Indonesia, became an overnight NFT celebrity after selling his photos on OpenSea.
Dubbed “Ghozali Everyday,” the collection features selfies that Gozlu took every day from 18 to 22 years old, from 2017 to 2021. Gozali put a price tag on the photo – 0.001 ETH ($ 3.25), and they sold out in a few days.
“These are just pictures of me standing in front of the computer every day,” Gozali described the collection at OpenSea.
To date, the young man has already raised 194 ETH ($ 560,000) for this collection. Ghozali Everyday even made it into the top 40 in the OpenSea 24-hour trading volume ranking with a 72,000% increase in activity, according to data from the trading platform.
The cheapest NFT in the collection is now on sale for 0.475 ETH ($ 1,500) as of this writing. All 933 NFT Ghozali Everyday are now worth nearly $ 1.4 million, well above the $ 3,000 the Indonesian earned from the initial sale.
In the first ten days of January, OpenSea’s trading volume totaled over $ 1.36 billion, and soon we may see a new all-time high hit.
