Blockchain platform Chia Network, created by BitTorrent founder Bram Cohen, has launched a peer-to-peer (P2P) trading service called Offers for Chia Wallet holders.
The P2P trading service enables Chia Wallet users to participate in cryptocurrency trading without having to send their assets to exchanges. The company said that the service does not charge a commission from both users for the secure processing of transactions.
Chia President and COO Jean Hoffman said that in order to create simpler and more secure P2P transactions, Chia has been tested for vital security requirements:
The launch of the offerings is the first step towards meeting these needs, and our partnership with Stably to provide USD-pegged stablecoins and tokenized versions of cryptocurrencies from other blockchains (wrapped) is an integral part of this process.
Stably will also present wrapped ether (wETH) and wrapped bitcoin (wBTC) in the Chia blockchain.
In pursuit of its mission to reduce the energy dependence of the public blockchain Chia Network, the network raised $ 61 million last year in a Series D funding round.
