The management of the blockchain platform Klaytn announced the conclusion of 5 new partnership agreements. The South Korean company has signed contracts with organizations that include Japanese tech giant GMO Group, entertainment company Animal Concerts from the United States, fintech firm Innovation Factory from Indonesia, NFT marketplace East NFT, and techno accelerator F10.
The company Kakao, which is behind the creation of the Klaytn blockchain project, said that these agreements were signed as part of a new development program for 2022. The leadership emphasized that due to the growing popularity of the metaverse and non-fungible tokens (NFT), they decided to focus on product development in this sector. The company’s goal is to become one of the leading players in the global blockchain market and implement its ideas in the virtual space.
The head of the global division of the Klaytn Foundation, David Sheen, said he was very pleased with the opportunities. Cooperation with foreign companies will allow the project to take a significant step towards further development. The specialist emphasized that in the last 3 months a huge amount of work has been done and now Klaytn is ready to conquer the metaverse.
He agrees with the opinion of numerous investors and traders that the metaverse will become the most important trend in the coming years. This industry has enormous economic potential, so it was necessary to focus on it. Klaytn also said it will renew its partnership with the Central Bank of South Korea and will continue to support the central bank digital currency (CBDC) pilot project.
