Daymak has set itself the goal of creating an electric vehicle that can mine cryptocurrencies during downtime. After all, modern self-driving electric vehicles are equipped with powerful computing systems, which are necessary for constant monitoring and analysis of traffic conditions.
But when the car is at a standstill or charging the battery, all that processing power is idle and of no use. Daymak decided to eliminate this oversight when developing the Spiritus electric car. So Spiritus, in theory, can literally pay for itself.
In October last year, Daymak demonstrated the first “production” prototype of the Spiritus, capable of speeds up to 85 mph (about 137 km / h). At the time, it was a static demonstration. And now the company has provided a corresponding video.
The video was published by Mike Chow, vice president of research and development at Daymak. The video contains a short description “The first test drive of the Spiritus three-wheeled electric vehicle”. Apparently, this is a personal channel, not a corporate one, as there are only a few videos of Cho himself on it.
The video demonstrates the usual movement of a three-wheeled vehicle – driving through parking lots, turns, etc. In fact, the video shows that the electric vehicle is real, capable of driving and being propelled by its own power plant. In other words, the video shows that Spiritus is a real car, not just a concept on paper.
As for the declared ability of an electric vehicle to mine cryptocurrencies, the video does not say anything about this, the hash rate is not shown. Previously, it was also said to support Ondata wireless charging and Nebula cryptocurrency.
Daymak has set a goal of producing up to 50,000 electric three-wheeled Spiritus per year. Production is planned to be established in the city of Ontario, Canada. As planned, the industrial enterprise will be created with the participation of partners EV Battery Tech and IONiX Pro. It is planned to create hundreds of manufacturing and technological jobs here. The company is currently finalizing a 425,000 square foot (approximately 39,500 m2) facility that will ultimately produce all premium Avvenire-branded products.
