Experts of the Ukrainian foresight “Virtual Assets 2030” conducted a basic training course on blockchain and cryptocurrencies for the first 30 Ukrainians, selected from more than 400 applicants on the basis of motivation letters.
The free pilot project was held online in the state language. As a result of the one-month course, 17 people successfully passed the exam and received NFT certificates.
The training program included six lessons, four workshops, five homework assignments and a final test. The course covered the following topics:
- “It all started with bitcoin”;
- “Then there were altcoins”;
- “From virtual currencies to virtual assets”;
- NFT and the Metaverse;
- “On Service Providers for Virtual Assets”;
- “Exchanges and Trading”;
- “Cyber hygiene when working with cryptocurrencies”;
- “AML Basics”;
- “Virtual Assets and the Law.”
Course participants learned how to install a crypto wallet, accept, send and exchange cryptocurrencies, analyze transactions, interact with smart contracts, and set up a secure online environment for working with digital assets.
The project was created by Leonid Khatskevich, Business Development Director at 482.solutions, Dmitry Bondar, a regular contributor to ForkLog, Igor Porokh, an independent analyst and trader, Valeria Volkova, a telecommunications company owner, Aida Dzhangirova, Managing Partner at BlockchainArt, and others.
According to the “roadmap” of the initiative, by May 2024, half of Ukrainians will learn how to use cryptocurrency, a course on virtual assets will be taught in every Ukrainian school, and specialized bachelor’s and master’s programs will be taught at leading universities.
Recall that in July, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine presented a strategy for the development of the virtual assets market until 2024.
