According to Google Trends, users of the largest search engine search for information about NFTs more often than about cryptocurrencies. However, Bitcoin remains the leader in search terms.
The increase in the number of searches with the word “NFT” indicates an increase in user interest in collectible tokens. This is facilitated by the entry into the NFT sphere of such popular companies as Nike and Adidas, as well as the release of their collectible tokens by musician Snoop Dogg and the Russian group “Hands Up”.
However, so far Bitcoin remains the leader in search queries. Neither cryptocurrencies nor NFTs were able to match Bitcoin in terms of the number of requests. With the exception of one country, Japan is more likely to find information about NFTs. Of these three searches, NFT accounts for 52% and Bitcoin accounts for 32%.
Quite often they look for information about collectible tokens in South Korea, but Bitcoin still wins with a result of 45% versus 39%. Russian users are not yet particularly interested in NFT – 17% of search queries, while Bitcoin accounts for 70%.
Earlier, Sam Bankman-Fried said that the role of NFT as a virtual accompaniment to various products, games and other things will increase.
