IOTA Launches Firefly 1.3.0 Staking Wallet

IOTA blockchain platform has released Firefly 1.3.0 desktop wallet with IOTA (MIOTA) coin staking feature. As a reward, netizens will receive Shimmer (SMR) or ASMB cryptocurrency.

To stake MIOTA you need:

1. Install the Firefly 1.3.0 program;
2. Launch the software and go to the Staking section;
3. Click on the Stake funds option and confirm the operation.

Until December 27, there will be a pre-staking phase, after which IOTA will start paying dividends. Every 10 seconds, hodlers will receive 1 SMR or 0.000004 ASMB for each MIOTA coin. Tokens will be transferred after the reward reaches at least 10 million SMR or 1 ASMB. In total, the staking period will be 90 days.

Immediately after the launch of the service, some people encountered bugs, but now the wallet works without errors in normal mode. Apparently, the problems were caused by blockchain congestion due to the hype around innovation.

SMR is a token issued on the Shimmer decentralized network developed by IOTA staff. Basically, Shimmer is a test blockchain for testing upgrades. ASMB will become the native coin of the Assembly network, a network with the functions of making transactions between blockchains of different cryptocurrencies and executing smart contracts without commission.
