The Russian authorities will never take the path of legalizing bitcoin. This is the opinion of Aleksey Golovchenko, who is a member of the political council of the Sverdlovsk regional branch of the “Party of Growth”.
The politician stressed that the Central Bank of the Russian Federation has clearly indicated its position, and it will not change it. There can be no question of any legalization of cryptocurrency as a means of payment.
Almost all central banks are extremely negative towards digital currencies. Bitcoin is of particular concern to them as it lacks the leverage to control the movement of digital currency funds.
Golovchenko stressed:
Cryptocurrencies are actually alternative money, and the latter is the blood for the economy. Officials who have enormous financial power do not intend to share it with anyone.
That is why the politician is sure that the Russian authorities, first of all, the Central Bank will use all the tools in his hands to fight bitcoin.
