On the territory of the Smolensk State University of Sports (SGUS), unknown persons mined cryptocurrencies. This was reported in the regional prosecutor’s office.
During the check, law enforcement officers found a rack with ASIC miners illegally connected to power grids. The preliminary amount of damage exceeded 5 million rubles.

Earlier, investigators opened a criminal case against the rector of SSUS Georgy Grets and one of his employees. They were charged with embezzlement of more than 1.5 million rubles.
Recall that a few days ago a court in Saratov fined a former traffic police officer 30,000 rubles for mining at the workplace.
