In early December, a bitcoin mining farm consisting of 72 ASIC miners burned down in the Thai province of Chiang Mai. This is reported by local media.

The fire broke out at night on the second floor of a three-story office building.

Due to the fact that there was no one in the neighboring premises, the firefighters arrived at the scene too late.

Possible causes of fires include overheating of devices and problems with wiring.

According to preliminary estimates, the damage amounted to at least $ 60,000. The real cost of the burnt-out equipment may turn out to be much higher.

Let us remind you that in August the Ukrainian “New mail” lost part of the client’s parcels as a result of a fire. As compensation for the burned out ASIC miner worth $ 4000, the company offered to pay the client $ 7, according to the amount indicated by him in the invoice.
