In the Shelekhovsky district of the Irkutsk region, the police uncovered a series of thefts of equipment for mining cryptocurrencies. This was reported by the local Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the investigation, in September, unknown persons entered the dacha in the village of Baklashi. They cut a hole in the roof of the garage, raised the sliding gates and stole devices worth 200,000 rubles.
The next morning, operatives detained three men aged 28 to 49 years. One of them lived on a nearby street with the victim and knew that he was mining. During a search of his house, the police seized the stolen equipment.
Later, law enforcement officers established the involvement of the detained in four more thefts of ASIC miners with a total cost of 1.5 million rubles from private houses.
Criminal cases were initiated. By a court decision, the accused were taken into custody.
