Analysts at Group-IB conducted a large-scale study of the underground market and found that only 1% of phishing accounts for cryptocurrencies
Cryptocurrencies accounted for only 1% of phishing attacks in the first half of 2020. Analysts of Group-IB came to such conclusions in their new report, a copy of which is at the disposal of the editors. According to the results of a study of the underground market, online services (Microsoft Live, Office 365, Google Account) suffered the most in the first half of 2021.
This is significantly different from the results of previous years. For example, compared to the previous period (second half of 2019 – first half of 2020), during the current reporting period, Group-IB experts recorded a significant increase in phishing attacks on dating sites, social networks and financial institutions.

A similar trend continues in the case of government websites and financial institutions. At the same time, most of all, in terms of percentage, attacks are carried out on Internet providers, bookmakers and government websites.
