An unknown organization sent BTC worth about $ 100,000 to a wallet that allegedly belonged to Michael Saylor, but in fact turned out to be fraudulent.

Frauds, when the scammers are presented by other (often very famous) people, are becoming more and more sophisticated and dangerous. And although information about them differs widely enough, people continue to fall for such baits.

In such popular fraudulent schemes, cybercriminals often impersonate people well-known in the world of cryptoassets and promote fake campaigns, inviting users to double their BTC after sending assets to the specified address.

Of course, those who fell into such a trap not only do not increase their savings, but also lose what they sent to the scammers. And although all this seems like something amazing, many people still believe in such stories.

Well-known BTC defender, MicroStrategy CEO Michael Sailor is a well-known figure in the crypto community. This is why his name and face are so often baited in fraudulent scenarios. Cybercriminals create websites over and over again using his name, which tell them that users can increase their BTC by sending them to the specified address.

So, one of such services using the name of Michael Saylor, as cryptopotato says, turned out to be active in December 2021 and was already able to get almost $ 650,000 in BTC. In this case, the attention of users was most attracted by one particular transaction: judging by the available data, some unknown organization immediately sent 2 BTC worth almost $ 100,000 to a fraudulent address.

A Bitcoiner just sent nearly $100,000 worth of #Bitcoin to a Michael Saylor giveaway scam.

A similar situation happened with one of the sites, which was active in November and also used the name of Sailor. In a month, the criminals managed to receive 42 payments from different users in the amount of over $ 1 million.
