Producer of Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” Niels Juul is ready to create the first feature-length film fully funded with proceeds from the sale of NFT.
By creating an organization with the corresponding name NFT Studios, the producer hopes to attract from $ 8 to $ 10 million through the sale of 10,000 NFTs to government and institutional investors.
At the moment, Juul has already entered into a deal with the London-based company NFT Investments, which paid $ 1 million for a 20% stake in NFT Studios.
A veteran filmmaker, Juul notes with regret that Hollywood has more money and less risk-taking.
As a producer, my biggest disappointment is the financial side, it’s an ordeal. Studios mostly shoot big franchise films, small films can take years to shoot.
With the Hollywood system, it is difficult to find investors for films and productions, especially in the development phase. We want to democratize this process.
The film “Wing and Prayer”, which is the story of Brian Milton, who traced the stages of the famous round-the-world journey of the character of Jules Verne’s novel “Around the World in Eighty Days” by Phileas Fogg, is almost ready to go. It remains only to find the means for filming.
