At the Avito site, the demand for specialized energy-efficient systems for cryptocurrency mining (ASIC) increased 14 times year-on-year, supply – 13 times. At Ozon, according to the results of 9 months, unit sales of goods for cryptocurrency mining increased 13 times, and in monetary terms – almost 14 times, writes Kommersant.
The average cost of mining farms was 117.9 thousand rubles. Interest in Antminer equipment from Bitmain has increased 11 times in a year, in Whatsminer – 23 times. The sales leaders were Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Territory, Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk Region.
Earlier, the head of the Duma committee on the financial market, Anatoly Aksakov, proposed adding mining to the All-Russian Classifier of Economic Activities (OKVED), which would allow taxing this activity and provide miners with electricity at prices for industrial consumers.
In October, the Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev proposed equating mining with entrepreneurial activity in Russia. He also announced his readiness to provide miners in the region with platforms for industrial mining of cryptocurrencies. After that, the Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin instructed to create a working group that will discuss the issue of legalizing cryptocurrency mining in Russia.
