KAMAZ and TON Labs, a key member of the Everscale ecosystem (formerly Free TON), have entered into an agreement on the phased integration of the blockchain into the automaker’s products. This is stated in a press release.
As a result, KAMAZ will become the first industrial enterprise where blockchain is used in operational activities.
At the first stage, partners must develop a system for recording information in the Everscale blockchain about each part that is produced at KAMAZ factories or supplied by the company’s partners.
Service centers are planning to introduce interfaces for accepting and writing off spare parts that are sold or used for warranty repairs. According to the statement, a mobile application will appear to search for the necessary original parts.
TON Labs noted that the initiative will reduce the number of counterfeit products. Also, KAMAZ will begin to receive “quick feedback” on spare parts from service centers. The latter, in turn, will be able to refuse warranty service in the event of breakdowns due to the use of non-original parts.
As a reminder, in May, the HumanVenture platform used the Everscale network in the Prodcard project. As part of the project, several thousand low-income families were given food cards that can be used to buy food and essential goods in Pyaterochka and Magnit stores.
