“Since 2018, Opera has been providing support for Web 3.0 and a built-in crypto wallet in its browsers, both in mobile and desktop versions. […] Solana blockchain provides fast transactions with low fees that will help attract more people to the Web 3.0 and DeFi“, – said in a press release.
In the first phase, new features are implemented in Opera for Android.
In November, it was revealed that the privacy-focused browser Brave is integrating support for Solana. Implementation is also scheduled for the first half of next year.

In July 2020, the company announced that 170,000 people use its cryptocurrency product every month.
In early 2021, payment processor Simplex announced that it would help Opera integrate a digital asset purchase gateway.
