On Wednesday December 8th, global fashion giant Zara unveiled its first collection of designs for people and avatars. Already, physical and virtual models can be purchased in the chain’s stores anywhere in the world.
Zara tweeted that her new collection was designed in collaboration with one of the largest clothing brands in South Korea, Ader Error.
The joint release of AZ Collection promises to be one of the most talked about events in the metaverse industry. According to representatives of the Spanish network, the created models are inspired by modern fashion.
All items from the innovative collection are also available in the ADERERRORXZARA virtual store hosted on the ZEPETO platform.
Thus, the famous Spanish chain of more than 7000 stores worldwide is taking the first step into Web 3.0. 50,000 users have already shown interest in the virtual store.
ZEPETO’s choice to launch Zara’s new virtual fashion collection is easy to explain – the platform is an immensely popular metaverse with over 200 million users and strong growth over the past year.
On the platform, users can not only create their own virtual versions, but also live in a completely digital world. Her app is available on the App Store and Good Play.
The design of Zara’s new virtual collection reflects the lifestyle of people “whose personalities are shaped by their simultaneous experiences in the real and virtual worlds,” the brand’s website says.
It is a project that reflects the ability of language to express ideas, generates different ways of thinking and creates new cultures.
The AZ collection includes unisex elements and original patterns. The basic collection is dominated by such tones as blue, gray and black, it is diluted with a variety of accessories.
Despite the fact that ZEPETO is not supported by blockchain technology, it allows trading using cryptocurrencies. This option is provided through a partnership with The Sandbox metaverse, which also provides a non-fungible token sale (NFT).
Zara is not the only brand to showcase their collections in virtual worlds. H&M has already launched a virtual clothing collection in the Nintendo video game Animal Crossing. Gucci and Nike are also featured on the ZEPETO platform.
