The AI robot Sophia will be tokenized and put up for auction as part of a metaverse project called Noah’s Ark. Binance is launching this campaign as an Initial Game Offering (IGO).

It will include 100 “intelligent NFTs” to be auctioned on December 16, known as “Sophia’s Transmedia Universe beingAI”.

“The IGO will feature a historical limited edition of one hundred intelligent NFTs featuring Sophia beingAI. The collection will be known as Sophia’s Transmedia Universe beingAI.”

As the first in the world, IGOs promise a new level of innovation in crypto finance. But what exactly are they?

What is an initial public offering (IGO) on Binance?

Until 2017, initial coin offerings (ICOs) were the industry standard for how crypto projects raised money. The ICO scene has spawned many big projects including Ethereum and NEO.

However, after a series of high-profile withdrawal scams, including OneCoin, led by the self-proclaimed “crypto-royal” Ruya Ignatova, the ICO started having problems.

During the “global tour” Ignatova convinced investors to part with $ 4.9 billion, after which she disappeared with these funds in 2017.

As expected, this and similar incidents tarnished the term ICO, leading to their demise. Since then, various kinds of fundraising concepts have emerged, such as security token offerings (STOs) and initial exchange offerings (IEOs).

For the first time in the world, Binance, using Sofia and the Noah’s Ark project, launches the IGO concept. The standard works in much the same way as any other fundraising concept, but it deals exclusively with game projects. It can include early access passes, weapons, characters, and exclusive skins for early investors.

“Collections” can be launched either through auction, flat rate sales, or secret boxes. IGOs can be run in multiple rounds, offering a different number of assets in each round with a tiered pricing structure. “

    What is Noah’s Ark?

“Noah’s Ark” is called the “intellectual metaverse”, which is designed to preserve and develop human culture and collective intelligence.

Sophia comes into play as a virtual anime version in this virtual world and will be known as “Sophia beingAI” – intelligent NFT (iNFT).

While such tokens are usually inanimate, Sophia beingAI, like iNFT, is reportedly able to independently interact with humans inside Noah’s Ark, just like a robot does in real life.

Commenting on this, Jeanne Lim, co-founder of beingAI, said that Sophia beingAI will provide a connection between people and technology to help us achieve states such as unconditional love.

“As one of our AI beings, we hope that Sophia beingAI will bring humanity and technology together to help people achieve our true nature of unconditional love and limitless possibilities.”
