Chairman of the Finance Committee of the US House of Representatives Maxine Waters on Wednesday revealed the list of participants in the planned hearings, at which the heads of the largest American crypto companies will speak.
The session on “Digital Assets and the Future of Finance: Understanding the Challenges and Benefits of Financial Innovation in the United States” will take place on December 8th. CEO Circle Jeremy Aller, FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, Bitfury CEO Brian Brooks, Paxos CEO Charles Cascarilla, Stellar Development Foundation CEO Denelle Dixon, and Coinbase CFO Alecia Haas will help legislators to understand this issue.

The finance committee noted its focus on cryptocurrencies, and Waters convened a dedicated working group of Democratic Party members this year to discuss regulatory issues.
Also today, the chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Gehry Gensler, spoke on the topic of cryptocurrencies.
“Many projects raise money in the cryptocurrency market and ask lawyers how to get around the regulation. I don’t think this is the right approach. It looks more like the Wild West. Today, the public is not as protected as it could and should be, ”Gensler said.
